Tulsyan NEC Limited is a Public Limited Company - listed with National Stock Exchange (NSE)/Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) having Registered Office at No.61, Sumboss Street, Chennai and Administration Office at No.37, Kaveriappa Layout, Miller Tank Bund Road, Vasanthnagar, Bangalore – 560 052. The Company has two divisions Steel & Plastic Packaging. The Steel division is located at Gumudipoondi, Ambattur (Chennai) & Goa. The Plastic division is located at Doddaballapur, Peenya & Malur.
The end product of Steel division is TMT Bars and the capacity to manufacture this product is 348000 Mts p.a. The Company also manufactures Billets – installed capacity - 144000 Mts p.a, Ingots – installed capacity 36000 Mts p.a. & Sponge Iron installed capacity – 36000 Mts p.a.
In the Plastic division the company manufactures HDPE/PP Woven Sacks & FIBC with a capacity of 21000 Mts p.a.
The turnover of the Company for the financial year 2009-2010 was Rs.635.00 crores and the projected turnover for the year 2010-2011 is about Rs.950.00 crores. Besides Steel & Plastic Packaging the Company has also got Windmills of 1250 KVA installed in Tamilnadu and the power generated is consumed by our factories at Gumudipoondi.
The Company is also planning to put up a Thermal Power Plant of 35 MW at Gumudipoondi for captive consumption. Construction work on this project is due to begin during the current year 2010-11.
Tulsyan Group has interests in Information Technology. Its subsidiary company - Cosmic Global in Chennai is into I.T. enabled services for the last 10 years catering to USA & Europe markets.
Another group company – Vijaya Steels is into manufacturing of Billets with a capacity of 100000 Mts p.a, Sponge Iron with capacity of 36000 Mts p.a. & TMT Bars with capacity of – 75000 Mts p.a. This company has units in Peenya, Nelamangala & Kunigal (Karnataka).
